On behalf of everyone at Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, I would like to offer my hearty congratulations to Joe Concra and all the organizers, staff, volunteers and participants in the O+ Festival this past weekend.
This was our first year participating in the festival and it was all we could have expected and more. The festival provided great music and wonderful displays of every form of art you can imagine. Even more importantly, the O+ Festival put on display the wonderful spirit of community in the Hudson Valley. Doctors, dentists, chiropractors and representatives of all aspects of the medical and wellness community donated their services to help treat the performers and artists in need in exchange for the art and performances provided during the festival. The festival also served to reintroduce so many of us to the Downtown Kingston area as we got the opportunity to witness first hand the result of revitalization efforts taking place downtown.
As a small example of some of the great art on display, below is a photograph taken by William Marchetti, showing me standing in front of the “Artemis Emerging From The Quarry” mural by internationally known street artist Gaia. This mural is just one example of many works of art and music, many of which you can find on the O+ Facebook page or at their website at www.opositivefestival.org.
Finally, on a personal note, I would like to thank our own Sarah LaGrande for coordinating all of our efforts and doing such great work on behalf of the Festival.
We look forward to a long relationship with the O + Festival and for those of you who did not make it this year, we hope to see you there next year.
