Gerald Jacobowitz, founding partner of J&G, the Hudson Valley’s premier full-service law firm, has been appointed to the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – Middletown, Advisory Board. TouroCOM opened its new Middletown campus last July after investing approximately $25 million to transform the former Horton Hospital into a 21st century, tech-centric medical school.

The mission of the Advisory Board is to advise Kenneth J. Steier, DO, MBA, MPH, MHA, MGH, the TouroCOM-Middletown Dean, on community matters, facilitate advancement of the College’s programs and advocate for the College.
The Touro College and University System is one of the largest healthcare educational systems in the nation and is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in medicine and to training osteopathic physicians to practice medicine in underserved communities. The new Middletown campus will help improve the region’s healthcare system while providing new education and career pathways to local residents.
Mr. Jacobowitz has a long history of commitment to community service having founded and served on many community-based and non-profit organizations. Mr. Jacobowitz serves as a director of the Meyer and Lillian Jacobowitz Charitable Foundation. He is a founding director and served as president of the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan from 2010-2012.
