Marcia Jacobowitz, Esq., partner at the law firm of J&G, LLP, was honored by the Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANY) with the Dorothy Kartashevich Consumer Award. The award was presented to Ms. Jacobowitz at CHCANY’s Statewide Conference held at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY on November 1, 2016.
CHCANY honors both its trailblazers and those who are working today to ensure access to high-quality health care for all. The Consumer Award is presented annually in memory of Dorothy Kartashevich and her unwavering dedication to the community health center movement. Marcia was recognized for her leadership and commitment to the medically underserved.

Recipients of the award must be health center consumer board members who have shown a distinctive level of excellence and consistent participation in a center’s operations over a period of at least three years.
