Kara Cavallo promoted to Senior Counsel

Kara J. Cavallo, Esq. Promoted to Senior Counsel at J&G LLP

The law firm of J&G, LLP (J&G) is proud to announce that Kara J. Cavallo has been promoted from associate to senior counsel effective January 1, 2017.  Ms. Cavallo has been an associate at J&G for twelve years, and concentrates in civil litigation and appellate practice.

Kara received her Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.  She received her J.D. in 1999 from the University of Arizona, College of Law, where she was an Executive Note Editor for the Arizona Law Review.  Kara clerked for the Honorable James B. Sult at the Arizona Court of Appeals after graduating from law school, and practiced with the litigation department of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP before joining J&G.

Kara was admitted to the practice in the State and Federal courts of New York in 2002.   Kara is President of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties and has served on its Board of Directors since 2013.  Kara has presented as a guest lecturer at seminars for real estate appraisers and assessors on the topic of constitutional issues impacting real property taxation.  She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association.
