Isabelle Hayes is a passionate emerging municipal and land use attorney. Isabelle is focusing her legal practice on land use, environmental law, and municipal law, working closely with clients to help navigate the often-complex regulatory landscape affecting property development, zoning, and sustainability initiatives.
Isabelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2019 from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she majored in Political Science and Communication Studies. In 2024, she completed her Master of Arts in Environmental Policy at Pace University, Dyson College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. That same year, she earned her Juris Doctor Degree with an Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains, New York. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in July, 2025.
As a municipal and land use attorney, Isabelle brings hands-on experience from multiple legal internships, including time at J&G Law, the Food & Farm Business Law Clinic at Pace University, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Office of Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal in the New York State Assembly.
Isabelle was elected recording secretary of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties (WBAOSC). She will be formally installed in the role at the WBAOSC installation dinner in June 2026. In 2023, Isabelle received the WBAOSC Susan B. Keiser Memorial Scholarship. Isabelle is awaiting acceptance into the Leadership Orange Program, Class of 2027. Isabelle is a member of the Goshawk Committee with the SUNY New Paltz Foundation Board serving as an advisory committee focused on opportunities related to the 41.9-acre parcel of land owned by Goshawk, LLC.
Isabelle grew up in Warwick, New York, and currently lives in Beacon. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family while exploring local music venues.
