Rebecca Johnson is senior counsel at J&G Law, LLP concentrating in matrimonial and family law. As a dedicated matrimonial law attorney, Rebecca represents clients in matters involving child custody, child support, family offenses, and appellate practice. She is known for her compassionate approach and strong advocacy on behalf of individuals and families navigating complex legal challenges.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Stony Brook University Honors College in 2012. She received her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 2015, where she developed a deep commitment to serving families and individuals in need of skilled legal representation.

Before joining J&G Law, Rebecca practiced at a regional law firm and with Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, where she gained extensive experience handling sensitive family law matters. Her commitment to community service and justice continues to shape her client-first approach as a matrimonial law attorney.

Rebecca has been an active member of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties since 2018, having served as both President and Immediate Past President. She has also contributed to local advocacy efforts as a former member of the fundraising committee for Safe Homes of Orange County, now Fearless! Hudson Valley. In 2018, she graduated from the Leadership Orange program, further cementing her role as a leader in the Hudson Valley legal community.

In recognition of her exceptional work, Rebecca was honored with the 2021 Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Rebecca lives in Pine Bush, New York, with her husband, two children, and cat. Outside of her legal work, she enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking.
